LEADERSHIP STARTS WITH YOU

A movement is only as strong as its people. True leadership starts with the self: with developing the moral courage to stand up on causes that matter to you; and taking the time to look after yourself in doing so.

SUPPORTING OTHERS

Student leaders shift their attention to the activity of leadership: to empowering others to speak openly and honestly about these issues and their experiences in group and one-to-one contexts.

ENGAGING RESISTANCE

'Engaging resistance' enables student leaders to explore the skills and methods required to have hard conversations with people who have differing views. This includes those who are hostile or those who might be in a position of authority, e.g. a parent, teacher, coach, or friend.

ACHIEVEMENTS IN LEADERSHIP

Students reflect on what they have achieved and meet with mentors and leaders making change in this space. Our final event also aims to shift attention beyond school environments; and to get students to think critically about how they might use what they have learned in the future.
